Glyka Nera

Glyka Nera Beach is located 4km west of Chora Sfakion, their name comes from the drinking water springs that gush along the beach and into the sea.

It has a length of 400m, it is pebbly with clear waters that stand out for their clear deep blue color, making it, due to its rocky bottom, ideal for swimming with a mask. Along the coast there are tamarisk trees for protection and shade from the sun. In 2003, the Times of London ranked it among the 20 most beautiful beaches in Europe.

It is fully organized with umbrellas, food, soft drinks and coffee.

Loutro

Loutro is a small seaside village west of Chora Sfakion. It is believed that here was the location of the ancient city of Phenicia which was the port of Ancient Anopolis. Its name comes from the baths found there.

It is built amphitheatrically in a sheltered bay. The main feature of the village is that there are no roads, so there are no cars, making it the ideal place for relaxation.

Access is by foot or by the sea.
